Lebanon
Lebanon's arid climate might seem way too hot and too dry for
quality wine production. But the Bekaa valley (see map on the
right), at the east of the country, is located at an altitude of
900 to 1,200 meters, providing perfect conditions for wine
production: Free of frost and diseases, long gentle summers, wet
winters and an average temperature of 25 degrees. Over the past 10
years, wine adventurers have started using this unique terroir with
both brave and passion, in a very difficult political and social
context. Our producers, the talented brothers Sami and Ramzi Ghosn
(Massaya), are the best example of what Lebanon has to offer to the
wine world today...
